PSPICE-FOR-TI: Internal error occurred (-42)

Hi,

I downloaded the installer. But I can't install the software and it reminded me that "An internal error occurred" with error code(-42)
The last part of file cdsPspiceTIlog.txt is:

    Just read the help.html.

    Software Requirements, Operating System, Windows 10 (64-bit) Professional

    So Windows 10 (64-bit) Home may not work or...

    Hi Egon,

    I noticed that your current login contains a non-ascii character. If it is possible, please try creating another login on the same computer with ascii characters only and try to install under that login. There's a problem with non-ascii character which the development team is working on.

    Hi JC,

    When you talk about login, do you mean Windows login?

    My PC is a stationary office PC, not a laptop and I do not use login as no one else has access to it.

    Perhaps the computer name is the problem. It contains the danish character "æ" like "ae".

    I renamed my PC and the error code(-42) does not show up anymore:-).

    It did not solve all problems, new error message: Unable to write to disk. Check Permissions.

    Yes, this error message "unable to write to disk" is known for the special character problem.

    we should have an update next week.

    Hi JC,

    Now I have renamed the User Profile Folder. The "æ" is replaced by a "a".

    After this operation I was able to install pSpice For TI, without further problems.
