Hi Vadym,
There is no difference. Please refer to BQ2000EVM for documentation and availability.
There seems to be a contradicting information between TIDA-00026 Features description where it says that it can support # Series Cells: 1 to 25S (https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00026 support up to 4 Li-Ion or 10 NiCd/NiMH cells, are user-programmable for other cell counts.
I'm working with NiMH batteries and need a charger that would be capable of charging 12-cell MiHM battery (14.4V nominal battery voltage, and max required charge voltage is 18.8).
My follow up question is what is the maximum number of NiMH series cells can BQ2000EVM support?
Hi Vadym,
The EVM can only support up to that, as the external resistor configuration sets the charge regulation voltage. EVM is already populated with resistors up to 10S so can't support more by default. All you need to do is change the resistor configuration according to the equations given in the datasheet.
