WEBENCH® Tools: Master Key

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM43601

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi,

I am just getting to know your tool: Webench power designer. I have tried out a few simulations and exported a PDF design report. At the bottom of this there is a master key:

Design Assistance
1. Master key : 6F5C1698ACC0A576[v1]
2. LM43601 Product Folder : www.ti.com/.../LM43601 : contains the data sheet and other resources.

I am curious about this key. I assume I could use this key to refer to the simulation and be able to retrieve the simulation later? Maybe it is even possible to email the key to a colleague? Will he then be able to open my desgin?

What is this key for? How can I use it?

  • Hi User,

Thanks for using Webench. I am currently not sure the significance of Masterkey in exported reports. I have contacted my team member on this, should be able get back to by mid of next week on this.

On sharing your designs with your colleague, its very easy in Webench. Follow below steps and share the design links with your colleagues(one example below with public link). And they will be able to open your shared designs.

Another way to open your older designs is go to MyDesing section of Webench. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further query about the tool.

    Best Regards,

    Bhushan

  • Hi User,

There is no significance of the master key value shared in the PDF report. Getting back to your past simulations and sharing of the designs can be done from within the tool as outlined above. Master key string in the PDF report is only used for internal TI purposes. Hope this helps.
