WEBENCH® Tools/TPS61023: TPS61023

Part Number: TPS61023

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

WebBench

When I add a feed forward cap to the design it set it at 1pf, If I change this to other values, like 100-200pf, WebBench stop working and give no results when I ask for a re-calculation

Is there a max range for the feed-forward cap??

  • Hi Tom,

We are able to replicate the reported issue. We are currently debugging to verify if its valid .We shall keep you updated on the same.

  • Hi Tom,

In device TPS61023 ,for default condition we are able to set a value up to 13pF for Cff capacitor as shown in image below.

As we increase Cff capacitor value from 1pF to 13pF,phase margin keeps increasing from 68.85  to 118.54 degrees.

As per Webench standards, recommended phase margin range is from 35 to 120 degrees, we fail the designs that generate phase margin outside the range.

For device TPS61023,for default condition any value of Cff capacitor greater than 13pF increases phase margin beyond 120 degrees,

    hence fails to create design.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Umayal
