How to create/make new components in TI for Pspice.

Hi Everyone, 

I want to create of new component/block containing a diode and a switch.Can you please tell me how to go about creating a new component in Pspice for TI .

    Hi Uzain,

    Is that case, I assume you already have a schematic containing that diode and switch.

    In that schematic (schematic1) , click "Place" menu, then "Hierarchical Port" and pins that'll connect to the outside world and wire them to the diode/switch as you plan to. Save the schematic.

    Go to the schematic (schematic2) on which you want to place the block, click the "Place" menu, then "Hierarchical block". In the pop-up, provide a reference such as "U1", then select "schematic" from the implementation drop down and select schematica in the dropdown below that. Click OK and draw a box on schematic2. A block is created. You can select it, right click, and descend into it.

    You can view the detailed step by clicking "Help", then "Documentation", then search "hierarchical block".
