Hi,

Customer have a query with regards with Bluetopia using CC2564, please help to support his query. Below are his query, please help to check. Thank you very much for your support.

"I have downloaded the service pack from your website. I am trying to use it in sample app you have provided for Bluetopia (iBeaconDemo). The problem is I'm getting error "LOW ENERGY Support not initialized -58". The question is, does your stack from website support Low Energy or not?"

"I see there is something like Flexible Build Library, but there are scripts for Keil and IAR only while I'm interested in gcc."

Which host MCU and tool chain/IDE are you using? Did, you try CCS? It seems, you have not build the stack with LE support?

"STM32F777BIT6, SystemWorkbench Ac6. I have downloaded Bluetopia from your website and service pack for CC2564C. Samples for Bluetooth classic are working, I see CC advertising itself, samples for LE does not work."

Humm.. I tried iBeacon with STM32 Blutipia stack release, using IAR work bench. The build and board activation went ok. No issues observed. Make sure, you have '__SUPPORT_LOW_ENERGY_' enabled when building the demo.

Hi Hari,

Customer have enabled "_SUPPORT_LOW_ENERGY_", if he doesn't enabled it, he have another error, "-104".

Which Bluetopia stack release version is he using? I am not able to reproduce the issue on my setup.

Service pack: CC256XC v1.4

What should "Result = BSC_EnableFeature(BluetoothStackID, BSC_FEATURE_BLUETOOTH_LOW_ENERGY);" output to the UART lines?

Can you also say what does this error -58 mean?

Another error encounter by the customer, please see below. Thanks.

Also "ret_val = GAP_LE_Set_Advertising_Data(BluetoothStackID, IBEACON_ADRETISE_DATA_SIZE_LEN, &(AdvertisingData));" returns -14 error.

Please, use Bluetopia stack version: 4.2.1.1

I have tried the stack version you recommended. It gives me the same error while trying to initialize low energy support (-58 error). Which STM and CC have you used while conducting tests? Could you provide the firmware used to test the low energy support?

I tried with STM32F4 as given in the below users guide using the Bluetopia SDK release. And it worked out of the box. I used IAR embedded workbench..

Does, your builds generate map file? If so, can you check if it has symbol, 'LowEnergyPatch', to check if it is compiled in..
