We are investigating Bluetooth controllers to hang off our main microcontroller and looking at the Bluetooth 5.1 CC2564C.https://www.ti.com/product/CC2564C. This will connect to an Android device. However, when we look at the stack https://www.ti.com/tool/CC2564CSTBTBLESW or any of the other available stacks they do not list 5.1 support.

Two questions:

1. Does CC2564CSTBTBLESW support Bluetooth 5.1?

2. We are not using CCS, IAR, or Keil. Is this a large porting effort?

Hi Bryan,

1. The CC2564CSTBTBLESW is certified to Bluetooth 5.1, but does not support 5.1 features. You can see the declaration ID in the datasheet:

2. It is difficult to answer this question without knowing the microcontroller and IDE you plan to use. However, I imagine this would be challenging because the Bluetopia stack (the one CC2564CSTBTBLESW uses) is compiled for certain cores.
