CC2640R2L: CC2640 schematic design consideration

Hi TIers.

my customer is using cc2640R2L but they have some questions about design.

The product emphasis are power saving and small(just 30mm x 30mm) which is using on medical.

there are 4 questions:

1. If 1.8v output doesnt use, how to handle it? Just not connect?

2. If this pin 3 are not used, Just not connected?

3. Regard to power saving and size, The current design need to boost voltage for lmp91002 and Cc2640R2L, can we use Boost without Schottky Diode ?

Hello Aichi,

For your questions regarding the output voltage and pin 3, are these for the CC2640, LMP91002 or the TPS? Also, are you looking to power both the CC2640 and LMP91002 using the Boost With Schottky Diode?

We are looking to the possibility about Boost without Schottky to power both Cc2640 and LMP91002.

We aren't sure about this is whether working properly and it's suitable for power saving perspective...

Hello Aichi,

The Boost without Schottky would work for the CC2640, since the output voltage is within the requirements. However, it wouldn't work for the LMP91002, because its minimum supply voltage is 2.7V while the Boost without Schottky only supplies 2.2V.
