CC2642R: Powering Peripheral with a BLE SoC

Part Number: CC2642R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP117, LPSTK-CC1352R, CC2650STK

Hello,

I'm working on a system that features a BLE SoC and a Temp Sensor- TMP117.  I am trying to find the lowest power and lowest cost solution.  The TMP117 operates from 1.7 V to 5.5 V and typically consumes 3.5 μA.  The BLE SoC is powered by a 3V coin cell.  From my understanding, all of the BLE SoCs in our portfolio would be able to power the TMP117.

Initially, I had the BLE SoC controlling a load switch between the coin cell and TMP117 (left image).  But, eliminating the load switch would save a lot of power and cost.  Would the right solution with no load switch work?

I'd appreciate an expert's confirmation Slight smile
