CC2567-PAN1327

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2567, CC2560Hi, where can I find the functional diagramm of the CC2567-PAN1327? Further, I would be grateful for any general advice concerning this device because the datasheet has very limited information. Thanks!
  • Yue, The following links (there are some line break issues so you'll need to be careful going to them) are: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/EZ430-RF2560 The block diagram is very similar to the PAN1327 case. More information about the ANT solution will be available soon, including how to develop using ANT and the Software to test it. As far as the bluetooth side, it's similar to our current bluetooth offering. Gustavo
  • Hi Gustavo, Im now designing my schematic. But how do I know the names of the pins because the datesheets are still not available.

    Thanks!

  • Yue,

Are you going to use just the module or the whole board like the one that connects to the MSP430 experimenter board?

    Gustavo

  • I think I only need the module for my application...

  • You will need to add external circuitry to it such as level shifters, LDO and a few other circuits, as well as design the board to meet RF specifications using impedance matching.

    Gustavo

  • and the board would already include them all? But wouldn't it be too big for my glucosestick, which should have the size of a USB stick. And what about the schematic symbol? How can I draw it without knowing its pins?

    Thanks a lot!

  • Yue,

Much of the information you're requesting is available from Panasonic's website:

    http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/electronic-components/rf-modules/bluetooth/pan1327-1317.aspx

Click on the plus sign next to the word resources at the top of the page.

On the PAN1315 page there are Eagle files which you can use as a basis for the PAN1327-PAN1317 design:

  • Hi Gustavo,

sorry I'm not so familiar with the PAN13xx. I have found on the page you gave me much information about PAN1325, but still I can't design the schematic for PAN1327 without further details. And what about the CC2567? Please help me!

    Thanks!

  • I found out that PAN1325 ist the sam like PAN1327 :D

  • Yue,

Yes, connection wise they are the same. Therefore, designing with one or the other is very similar.

  • Hi Gustavo, I have still two further questions:

    1. the medical signal is transmitted through bluetooth. Can the CC2567-PAN1327 modul receive it?

    2. should I design a seperate board for CC2567-PAN1327 modul and connect it with the main controller board through interface or would it be better to put everything on one board?

    Thanks!

  • Yue,

    1) Yes. the CC2567 is an enhanced version of the CC2560 in the EZ430-RF2560, so that it can also receive it. You could possibly chain several bluetooth devices and get the ANT data from one side to the other

2)This depends on your application and requirements and timeframe. It's quicker to leverage anything prebuilt.  If you use modules, it's easier to isolate issues and fix them if the issue affects only one part of the system. On the other hand, it usually means larger size due to connectors and other things.

  • Gustavo,

My company would like to begin product development using the CC2567-PAN1327 module.  It would be very helpful to get the ANT+ Bluetooth Health and Fitness Aggregator Kit that was demonstrated by Dana Myers.

Do you have any idea when the CC2567-PAN1327 and/or the Development Kit will be available?

    John

PS Sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere

  • Hi John,

Just sharing what I know about this, someone from TI can correct me if necessary.  The modules and devkit are on the digikey website:

    http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=99978769&uq=634421010263961309

    http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=100597697&uq=634421010263961309

They show as "quantity available" 0, and if you request an amount you get a date from digikey in August 2011.

  • Hi Jefferson,

    Thanks for the response.
