CC2642R: CC2642R Direct Test Mode - setup options

I would like to perform direct mode testing on a custom design based on the CC2642R.

Are there any relatively low cost (perhaps <$1k) options for this test setup?

I see the Anritsu MT8852 and other R&S testers recommended but these are of course all expensive tools and while it is possible to rent them I'd like to have a solution that is relatively low cost even for long periods of use. I understand this might not be as accurate as these advanced tools but I'd like to understand what the options are. As far as I am understanding Nordic provide direct test mode functionality simply using their nrf-connect software and simple dev-kits, is there something similar for the CC2642 ? Could the Nordic nrf-connect DTM be somehow used to test the CC2642 DUT?

    Hi,

    Have you reviewed BTool? BTool is provided within the SDK.

    To use it, you can either flash the host_test example on your device either enable PTM on your FW.
