CC2564C: FCC RF testing, spurious emission and duty cycle

Hello,

We are using Panasonic PAN1326C2 module, which runs on CC2564C. We are currently doing FCC and EN Radio testings with test house.
We are observing spurious emission that is over the limits at above 7.2 GHz.

We believe we can pass with lowering the duty cycle, as the FCC report from the module seems to have passed at a lowered duty cycle.

However after reading, 5466.CC256x Testing Guide, and 8715.CC256x VS HCI Commands, it does not seem obvious on how to set the duty cycle.

Hi Sam,

Are you using HCI Tester tool to send the HCI commands? What HCI commands are you using?

Hi Jessica,

We are not using the HCI Tester tool, its not possible for us to have physical connection to the module to control from a PC during testings,
therefore we expanded further some APIs similar to the

VS_Enable_FCC_Test_Mode that sends from our host mcu.

We are using Send_HCI_VS_DRPb_Tester_Packet_TX_RX (0xFD85)

Hi Sam,

When reviewing the HCI commands guide, it looks like lowering the duty cycle is something that cannot be controlled.

After asking our expert on the matter it seems that lowering the output power to meet certification should also work.
