hello,
I am currently developing on a cc2652R1 and cc2652P, I wanted to know if there is the possibility of calculating the ToF with this chips in order to do localization.
I have found articles on this concerning the cc2640 chip (sdk 2.23) is it always supported? what are the performance of the solution?

Hi Damien,

Unfortunately, TOF is not supported by our BLE5 stack today. We do have solutions for obtaining IQ data for Angle of Arrival (AoA) if that helps at all.

with a CC2640, with ToF function, what is the precision that I could hope to obtain on the measurement of distance between two devices, is this comparable to other technologies which give a precision of about 10cm?

With the BLE5, does AoA always require a module with two antennas like the extension card "BOOSTXL-AOA"?

Hi Damien,

As mentioned by Ammar, ToF is not supported anymore. We cannot comment on the accuracy of this localization technique.

For AoA, I would recommend to look into our SimpleLink Academy labs dedicated to this localization technique.
