Hi experts,

Please let me confirm the certification of CC2650MODA.

Currently on the product page, the protocol is listed as BLE4.2.

However, BLE-Stack 2.2.3, which can be used with the CC2650, is BLE5.1.

Also, the datasheet says "2.4-GHz RF Transceiver Compatible With Bluetooth low energy (BLE) 5.1 Specification and IEEE 802.15.4 PHY and MAC".

Q1:From the above information, I understood the following, is it correct?
Although the CC2650MODA is certified as a BLE5.1 product, the protocol and functions used are those of BLE4.2.

Although BLE4.2 functions are sufficient, we would like to confirm whether it can be used in cases where we want to label the product as BLE5.1.

Hi,

I confirm your understanding.

The CC2650MODA implements Bluetooth 4.2 features and is Bluetooth 5.1 qualified. Assuming you go through the Bluetooth Qualification process (no testing required), this means your end product can be marketed as a Bluetooth 5.1 product.

This module is now covered by the End Product Listing (EPL) QDID 180401.

More details are available in https://www.ti.com/ble-qualification - note: QDID 180401 is not yet stated in this document as it has been obtained 2 days ago, the document is in the process to be updated.
