CC2640R2L: Scanning fails in runtime

Hi Bhavin,

Can you tell us what example you're basing your work off? and BLE or BLE5? If you run the unmodified simple_central code it should scan without issue.

Hi Nate,

We are using simple peripheral_observer role and it's BLE not BLE5 based.

We asked using customized code made from TI only.

Infact in another device where we are using host_test example and we are facing same issue in that , in that we are using BLE 5

Are you running simple_peripheral or simple_observer? Simple_peripheral is not designed to scan, rather, it advertises. Simple_observer should be able to scan.

You are correct but because of our need we asked TI team to merge peripheral+observer and we are using that one.

Bhavin - have you tried to debug the code? In the readme it says that pressing the right hand side button on the launchpad should stop a scan. Can you confirm this?  Additionally, have you made any substantial changes to the source code?

We are facing problem in our product where we are using CC2640R2L home made module, we are not testing on launch pad. 

We have modified simple_peripheral_observer_task as per our application but very little change in gaprole_create_task which wakeups every 1 sec.

Apologies for the delay. We have been out on vacation for the holidays.

I would recommend debugging the original unmodified code on a launchpad, then switching over to your custom hardware to ensure it's not a hardware problem. If that works fine, I would then try to run the modified code on a launchpad to see if it's a software problem. Right now, it's hard to say what the cause of the problem is because there are too many variables (hardware and software) between what we know works (launchpad + unmodified example code) and what we're trying to get to work (custom hardware + modified example code).
