CC2652P: Junction temperature

Part Number: CC2652P

Dear team

May I know, What is the Junction temperature value of CC2652P?

Many thanks

Denny

  • Please check the "Thermal Resistance Characteristics" in the datasheet. In this section you also have a link to how you can calculate junction temperature based on the ambient temperature.

Note that the operating temperature for the chip is given as ambient temperature.

  • Hi TER

According the formula. I can calculate the Tj. But the datasheet doesn't show the information of maximum ratings  Tj.

    Could you

    2. If the outdoor ambient temperature is 65C, if the ambient temperature around the chip exceeds 85C can they used CC2652P?

    Many thanks

    Denny

  • Note that the operating temperature for the chip is given as ambient temperature. Meaning if the ambient temperature is above 85 degrees they are outside the range set in the datasheet.

Tj is not defined but can be calculated based on the ambient numbers.

  • Hi TER

if the ambient temperature around the chip exceeds 85C can they used CC2652P?

    Many thanks

    Denny

  • Note that the operating temperature for the chip is given as ambient temperature. Meaning if the ambient temperature is above 85 degrees they are outside the range set in the datasheet.

This means that if the temperature around the chip is more than 85 degrees the chip can't be used since this is outside the recommended operating conditions.
