CC2652R: data transfer rate in read property

Hi all,

How many bytes can be read from mobile through read property in single read transaction?

Note: Theoretically, it seems 251 bytes. But I can able to read 300 bytes in single read transaction, its look like i can read more than 300 bytes also.

Hi Aslam,

Section 2.1 of the Bluetooth LE Core Specification shows that you can send PDU's of between 2 and 258 bytes on the LE uncoded PHY. Can you provide packet captures or screenshots showing you're observing otherwise?

Please find the attached screenshot below:

I can able to read 500 bytes in single read. Is the device splitting my data into 251 bytes each while sending??

Hey Mohamed,

You are correct, the protocol defines a maximum PDU size (i.e. 251 bytes). What is likely happening is that the "single" read is being sent across multiple PDUs.
