in order to be able to check/adjust the value to record on the CAP ARRAY,
how to measure the frequency of 48MHz crystal?
1. should we use smartRF Studio to send a continuous carrier and measure its frequency?
2. can we simply generate a PWM output by the CC1352P and measure its frequency, because of the compensation circuits and such, is this as reliable?
Thanks.
Damien.
Hi Damien,
Yes, the best way to measure the accuracy of the HF crystal oscillator is to output an unmodulated carrier wave from the radio and measure the frequency offset from the wanted frequency using a spectrum analyzer.
Section 6.4 of SWRA640 is a good resource for this.
Thanks,
Alexis
Thanks Alexis,
Is there a way to generate an unmodulated carrier using RF driver commands (I don't find it), or do we have to use smartRF studio?
Damien.
Hi Damien,
SmartRF Studio will probably be the easiest way to do this, but there's also an example in the SDK called rfCarrierWave (examples>rtos>LP_CCxxxx>drivers)
Thanks,
Alexis
