CC2652R7: Encryption support for OTA upgrades

Hi,

We are planning to use CC2652R7 in our product and TI OAD service for implementing OTA upgrades. While, the TI OAD offchip example uses ECDSA for signing the images, Is there support for encrypting the firmware when transferred over BLE? Earlier we had used Silicon Labs chipset which had support for firmware encryption. I am not referring to LE Secure connection establishment.

Please let us know if there are existing examples that we can refer.

Hi,

If you use "Secure OAD", the image is signed using ECDSA.

Hi Clement,

We want to encrypt the image as well. Secure OAD uses ECDSA for signing images(authentication).

Are there any examples were the image is encrypted using AES 128/256 algorithms?

Hi,

The device does have the capability to run AES 128/256 algorithms. However this possibility is not implemented to encrypt the OAD images in the out of the box example.

I would recommend to review the aesKeyAgreement example to get started.
