CC2640R2F: TIDA-01624

Do you install simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_2_20_00_49? Try to refer to section 3.1.2.1 Building Embedded Firmware in https://www.compel.ru/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/tidudw4.pdf.

Hello, currently I used simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_5_30_00_03.

I have gone through your referring documentation.  But the result is the same.

So is it necessary to use simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_2_20_00_49 for TIDA?

Now  I'm able to build and debug the TIDA program . After debugging the program on-chip, the BLE didn't advertise in the BLE scanner app.

Can you tell me why this is happening?

I suppose you use your custom TIDA-01624 design so I suggest you to use SmartRF Studio to check your RF performance first.

Currently, I tried on the "https://www.ti.com/tool/LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2?keyMatch=&tisearch=search-everything&usecase=hardware"!!

This is the CC2640R2 Lunch XL pad.

TIDA-01624 uses CC2640R2F RSM Package 32-Pin VQFN (4-mm × 4-mm) chip but LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 uses CC2640R2F RGZ Package 48-Pin VQFN (7-mm × 7-mm) chip. The software need to be revised to run on LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Ok, get it's about to chip package.

Now, what I should I do to run on LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2? Because in startup directory all files are available for LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 board. 

You can try to revise the board files according to TIDA-01624 schematics to make it work.

PFA below. As you mentioned in your board files, the same PCB I have created and debug it even IC package is the same. 

But BLE not showing the BLE scanner app.

And if u say the change in the board files then what type of changes I have to do?

According to your picture, you already use CC2640R2F RSM Package 32-Pin VQFN (4-mm × 4-mm) chip on your custom hardware. It should work directly after you build and download TIDA-01624 reference firmware. If not, I had suggested you to use SmartRF Studio to test RF performance of your custom hardware first.

Exactly, the program must run properly but I don't know what's the problem?

Well, actually I don't know how to use a smart RF studio to test RF performance so if you can guide then it's worth it!!

You can connect XDS110 debugger to your custom board and start SmartRF Studio. SmartRF Studio can control CC2640R2 to do BLE advertising.

I made the arrangement as you suggest. 

Now I got the screen as you can see in the attachment. Now, what should I do?

Click CC2640R2F icon to start the test window.

ok, Now got this one.

You can click start button to start BLE advertising and use any BLE app to scan it.

Nothing to show in the BLE scanner app.

Try to use packet TX tab to start BLE advertising.

This gives the same result as u showed above the image but for a limited time.

You should use your LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2F as packet RX to check if LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2F can receive the TX packet from your CC2640R2F custom design.
