I have a question about name of bluetooth

1.How to setting name of bluetooth after bluetooth initial finish?

PS: I need to change name of bluetooth during bluetooth normal operate (Not from initial)

Now I use change name from "scanRspData"

2. This question about advertise. If i need to add data in Advertising data or Scan Response data for show data on moblie by it can see data before connect request. Can it be done?

And if it can be done, how should it be done?

I use software project Simple serial socket Server

SDK: 3.30.00.20

Code Composer Studio Version: 10.1.1.00004

Hi,

I think You should change the content of the Advertisement data and of the Scan response data at the same time. This can be done through HCI commands or you can modify the default advertising data .

Hi,

Advertisement data. I see from code can setting advertise data max size = 31 bytes.

Question, Can I to add advertise data more than 31 bytes?

Hi,

If you are trying to use a normal advertising type and trying to send more than 32 bytes, we cannot comment on what exactly will happen other than that it will not work because it's not defined by the BLE Spec and not characterized by TI because so. The only way you can send more bytes of advertisement data is by using advertising extensions in ble5. please review Advertising Packets in Bluetooth Low Energy Scanning and Advertising

I see advertise data type. If i add new type, Can i add new type more from define in @defgroup GAP_ADTypes GAP Advertisement Data Types?

From question advertise data type, I try It work.

Advertise data are all standard?

Can we not send the service UUID in advertise data ?

GATT Discover Characteristics By UUID. May I ask why would you want to hide that information?

We would like to store other data/application data. and the client side already know what UUID supported.

So we have to add UUID on the advertise data?, cannot remove right? is it the standard from Bluetooth SIG?

Oh I mean you need to modify these params to disable all UUID in advertisement data. I haven't tried that before. But you can find the modification in related docs.

BTW, you can open a 2642 project and open the sysconfig file where you can set the UUID into 0. Then you can see the generate code to see where you need to change and modify in your 2640 project. It won't be exactly the same, but it can give a better look.
