CC2564C: Dual-Mode Audio

We are looking for a Dual-Mode Audio solution that includes the BLE Audio profiles (presently in draft) TMAP, HAP and PBP. If I understand correctly, the CC2564C already supports the Classic audio profiles and BLE up to v5.1, but not the BLE Audio profiles built on v5.2.

We would like to make a complete audio product that includes the Classic profiles A2DP, HSP, HFP, and AVRCP, and also the BLE profiles TMAP, HAP, and PBP, and also LC3. Though the latter are very new, I would expect that within a year or two such platforms would become common on gateway devices such as laptops and other audio sources.

Would this be possible to add to the CC2564C platform (including microprocessor) with only software upgrades? Is there a development plan for such a platform?

    Yes, that is correct. We do not have support for BLE audio, but we do offer A2DP, HSP, HFP, and AVRCP for Bluetooth Classic Audio.

    To add BLE Audio support, TI would need to invest significant effort in adding these profiles to our Bluetopia stack through software updates. We may also need to update firmware on our controller. However, there are currently no plans in place to support BLE Audio profiles in the future.
