CC2642R: Mobile App

Part Number: CC2642R

Hi,

My customer is developing an On-chip OAD project using the CC2642R.

He is testing using the TI starter app to download images.

When he run OAD reset service, TI starter app shows persistent app.

There seems to be no downloadable function when a persistent app is connected.

Is it possible to download image from starter app to target with onchip oad applied?

Also, is it okay to apply the oad function of TI starter app as it is when developing a customer's app?

  • Hey SY,

There seems to be no downloadable function when a persistent app is connected.

I assume the customer uses on-chip OAD as you refer to the persistent app, can you confirm?

Is it possible to download image from starter app to target with onchip oad applied?

    This should be possible.

Also, is it okay to apply the oad function of TI starter app as it is when developing a customer's app?

Yes, the app was designed to help customers perform OAD. However, the customer can also leverage (using a second launchpad) BTOOL to perform the OAD.

  • Hey SY,

I tried the on chip OAD using the mobile app. Are you testing on iOS or Android? If you don't see "FW Download (Enhanced)" but instead see "EOAD Start/Reset", it may help to turn on/off your Bluetooth on your device.

  • Hi,

My customer is testing on Android, but I'm testing on iOS.

The TI Starter app doesn't show the proper sensor view even when BT is turned off and on.

It shows properly only when the phone is turned off and on.

And can't I just see the proper service without BT on/off.

Why doesn't TI Starter show the proper service right away?

    My customer may ask this.

  • Hey SY,

I will file a ticket to fix this issue on the mobile app side, I believe it should not be required.

For testing purposes, the customer may also use BTOOL.
