LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: Generating pulse in POWER_SAVING

Hi Team,

Our customer is running the example of simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_5_30_00_03/simple_peripheral and they set the command POWER_SAVING.

Upon measuring the CC2640R2 current consumption using DC power analyzer, they find that a pulse is generated every 15 milliseconds.

Is it possible to remove this pulse? or set it so it won't interfere with the measurement?

Maybe try to implement software PWM in sensor controller, which you can refer to discussions in this thread.

Hi Marvin,

Can you please have the customer provide screenshots of their DC power analysis? What is the average current consumption with POWER_SAVING defined? Have they completely disconnected the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 XDS110 jumpers, set the "Extern power" jumper, and only have VCC and GND connected? Please have them refer to the following Application Report for expected power consumption measurements.
