CC2642R: China BLE/2.4GHz Certification/Regulatory Requirements

Do we have any application report that talks about certification and/or regulatory requirements for China? I found swra601d which covers FCC, IC, and CE. Wondering if we have something similar for China.

    Stuart,

    I am unaware of a document that covers specific requirements for China and Bluetooth LE, but I am notifying some folks in the SW team that could provide further insights. Also, as a general rule, we ask customers to consult their certification agency about all regulatory requirements as they would be more up-to-date on the latest developments.

    The last time I heard about this (a year ago) it was still quite new and our statement then was:

    The Chinese government agency that regulates the use of radio frequencies, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), recently released a public consultation on proposed changes to the rules governing radio technology operation in the 2400 MHz frequency band. In response, the Bluetooth SIG has proposed some amendments in order to limit the impact of these rules on the use of Bluetooth® technology in China.

    We are currently assessing the impact of both the rules proposed by the MIIT and the Bluetooth SIG suggestions on the use of our products. For the time being, given the fact that new rules are likely to be amended and will not enter in application before 2022, no specific action is required from you. Further communication will be forthcoming after the MIIT officializes the rule changes.

    In the meantime, you can consult the proposed rule changes and the Bluetooth SIG amendments. Please provide your feedback to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Bluetooth SIG.
