Dear all,

I'm working with a new BLE module I realized using CC2640. Now I need to proceed with RF tests using a DTM. To do this I'm using the Host Test project available in the ble_sdk_2_02_07_06 as described in Application Report SWRA530 (Configuring the CC2640 for Bluetooth® Direct Test Mode).

I started using LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 and I'm using Btool for HCI communication.

But the communication always fails. Via serial communication (DIO2 as RX and DIO3 as TX) and also using the XDS110 uart closing the jumpers to connect the probe with the RX and TX pins of CC2640R2F.

Do you have any suggestion, please?

Hi Alessandro,

I am afraid you are running some built for CC2640 on a CC2640R2 device. As a consequence, the system probably fails before the end of the boot.

When using the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2, please use the code available in the SIMPLELINK-CC2640R2-SDK.
If it's help, you will find a pre-compiled hexfile for the host_test project in this SDK under <SDK>\examples\rtos\CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL\blestack\hexfiles\cc2640r2lp_host_test.hex
This hexfile can directly flashed on the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2.
