Hi TI,

     I have studied the message formats of BLE 4.2, BLE 5.2, BLE Mesh the filed in BLE 5.2 has Constant Tone Extension which provides the user to track it. If my understanding is correct.

By any chance is it possible to include or can have this CTE configured in BLE Mesh to make AOA possible in BLE Mesh.

    Hey Manikanth,

    Great question. Bluetooth Mesh is currently based off of BLE4.2. So, as it currently, it is not possible to enable AoA with Bluetooth Mesh.

    Now, TI enables a concurrent Bluetooth Mesh solution alongside a Bluetooth LE peripheral (in SysConfig you can select "Mesh+Peripheral"). Theoretically, you might be able to do this by running the mesh stack concurrently and using the LE peripheral side to perform your AoA work. That being said, Mesh+AoA is not a supported configuration and I will not be able to assist or provide guidance on this. You can try to investigate this on your own, the level of effort is quite high and you may run into some roadblocks I am not aware of.
