CC2642R: BLE PHY rssi threshold

Is there a threshold for the rssi in BLE phy? Testing with SmartRF Studio, the maximum rssi observed is -31dBm, no matter how close the Tx and Rx end are, it seems there is a threshold for the rssi.

Can you please confirm that? Thanks.

Hi Shuyang,

I can reproduce that behavior using a CC1352P as transmitter and a CC2652. I will try to see if it is documented somewhere.

Please look at this design note explaining of the RSSI is calculated. I assume it would dependend of the following: RSSI_VALUE, RSSI_OFFSET, RF_GAIN.

I read from the posts below that the receiver will saturate around -30dBm, but I cannot find where this is documented. Can you help check if there is a document for the saturation value? Thanks.
