Multiplexing ANT+ and RS232 over Bluetooth connection

I have two I/O streams that I would like to multiplex over a single Bluetooth link. One is ANT+ and the other is RS232. What do you think about using the CC2567-PAN1327 in a design that supports this functionality? (I am not a hardware guy)

Bruno,

The PAN1327 as you already know demonstrates ANT forwarding over BT. The question is how fast is your RS232? What's the baud rate? How often do you send data?

Gustavo,

The RS232 link is operating at 9600 baud. If I total the Tx and Rx transmissions over the RS232 link, then less than 400 bytes are sent every 3 seconds.

Gustavo,

I am imagine that a microcontroller would be used to to the multiplexing over the Bluetooth link and there would have to be some additional header information for the controller and the bluetooth host to distinguish the ANT+ from the RS232 streams. Does this make sense?

Would you recommend the ANT+ Bluetooth® Health & Fitness Aggregator Kit for develpment purposes?

Yes. It would be a matter of adding another type of packet sent so that it can be distinguished and handled appropriately. The ANT+ Bluetooth® Health & Fitness Aggregator Kit would be the ideal starting point since ANT part is already handled. It would be a matter of adding the RS232 to it and then making the BT send those data packets.
