CC2564MODN: Control of the module, certification and longevity.

I do have a couple of questions regarding to the bluetooth module CC2564MODN .

-Is it possbile to control bluetooth connections through something like AT commands? Or does our host-controller need the whole bluetooth-stack?

-For me it's not clear if the FCC and CE certifications are still valid if we wouldn't use a chip or board antenna. We would like to have a U.FL connector.

-What is currently expected for the longevity for this product? Is it really that TI will continue to support and produce this module if there is a demand on it.

The CC2564 does not support AT commands, to have a complete Bluetooth solution you will need a host-controller need with a Bluetooth-stack.

The CC2564 is still supported, although there is no new software for the device. Here is our longevity policy: https://www.ti.com/support-quality/quality-policies-procedures/product-life-cycle.html.

The FCC and CE certifications are still applied, even with a UF.L connector. You would have to use an antenna of the same type and antenna gain as was certified. All of our Certification reports for our CC2564 can be found at https://www.ti.com/tool/download/CC256X-REPORTS.
