Hi Team,
Where can customers find a manual for antenna parameters of the matching network?
Thank you,
Franz

Hi Franz,
I'll have to verify with my team that we have s-parameter files for the antenna next week as most are on holiday break, but we typically don't have it as the reference design layout is there for the customer to replicate and simulate.
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Bun
Hello TI,
any update on that issue?
In addition, I would like to point out that the question is about the parameters of the internal matching as the CC2340 should inlude a balun AND a 50 OHM antenna matching.
Where can I find it? How to set up?
BR
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
I apologize for the misunderstanding. The CC2340 is still in its preliminary stage and the matching circuit for the antenna is a work-in-progress. Additionally, there is no balun as it is currently a single-ended design in its current stage.
The only matching circuit available is for the SMA connector.
You may request details on the CC2340 here: www.ti.com/.../cc2340.html
Best regards,
Bun
Hi Bun,
thanks for your quick response. But I am still a little puzzled now.
The point ist that according to Franz there is no matching/filter curcuit needed on the board as it is internal (in the CC2340).
So, to get the best fit to any customer board there has to be a way to configure the parameters.
How is this done? Or how will this be done in final stage?
We will use a PCB antenna and no SMA.
As the chip is supposed to be available in the first quarter of 2023, there should at least be an idea of it.
Best regards
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
While the CC2340 output impedance is 50 ohms, which is achieved internally, a PCB antenna will most likely not be 50 ohms so you will need a matching circuit.
Section 7 of the SWRA726 shows the typical process we follow for antenna matching:
