CC2541DK-MINI: tuning of time for oad

Part Number: CC2541DK-MINI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2541

Hello Community  , A pleasant day to you. We use the following products: 1.CC2541 IC 2.IAR embedded workbench 8051 version 9.30.3 3. TI sensorTag for downloading of firmware 4.Lightblue app is used to set OAD parameters When we set the OAD parameters from the LighBlue app then we go to TI sensorTag and download the firmware to the selected IC. The time duration between the setting and performing the OAD is very less. I want to tune the duration for the above mentioned task . As per the video (refer the video name VID-iphone7s_rapidspeed)when we do the task rapidly with iPhone 7s it will execute normally. But if we do slowly it stucks in ti sensor tag app(refer the video name VID-iphone7s_slowlyupdate). if we use iPhone 6s it disconnected in Lightblue app.(refer the video name VID-iphone6s_stuck)

  • Hello SenseGiz,

Thanks for posting on e2e. Can you clarify which version SDK is being used?

When a connection is first established, a couple of things can happen that could affect the behavior in the way you mention: pairing can be triggered, or a parameter update is initiated. I recommend ensuring both of these (if applicable) run to completion before beginning the OAD. For example, the second video showcases a slower OAD. This could be because a parameter update was not complete before the OAD was started, so you are potentially performing the OAD with slower parameters. Can you provide any Bluetooth LE sniffer logs (using an Ellisys or Frontline sniffer)? This will help understand what is happening in all 3 cases mentioned.

I've also assigned this post to a colleague to help assist you further.

    Regards,
    Ryan
