CC2340R5 PCB design

we are thinking to proceed with LP-CC2340R5 Ble module for one of our prospoective product. In the same, i am thinking of considering BOM without DNM components Y1, C81,C91, J7 and L1. Also planning to run the chip in 'Global LDO Mode'. Please let us know, it is possible or not and what the consequences will be for the same.

  • Hi Ranjit,

I would like make a correction to my previous statements. Below shows what was updated.

L1: this part can be removed if using LDO mode, but at the cost of higher current consumption.

J7: this part is optional, but we recommend it as it eases troubleshooting if anything goes wrong with the design. It allows for a quick reference measurement.

Y1, C81, C91: These parts allows for the device to used a central bluetooth hub. Removing it limits it use to strictly peripheral meaning it can only act as a slave device.

Let me confirm with my team about LDO and L1.

    Best regards,

    Bun
