CC2640R2F: When I used the DTM test of the host test app routine, the waveform was abnormal, causing the BQB test to fail

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

Hi Team,

When I used the host test app routine of CC2640 new SDK 5.30, it was shown as follows.

I tested it with the new SDK 5.30, and the output power was set to 0dBm.

I tested it with old SDK, and output power was set to 0dBm (2018, version unknown).

I used LaunchPad to test it, programmed the host test app firmware of SDK 5.30, and set the output power to 0dBm.

When the new SDK 5.30 transmitted at a power of 0dBm, there would be problems with the waveform. There was a sharp spike, which would cause the BQB test item to fail. But the old-version firmware does not have this issue.

Could you please help me to solve it? Thank you.

Kind regards,

Katherine

  • Hi Katherine,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We will look into your query and get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, I have a few questions that may help us resolve this as efficiently as possible. Can you clarify what you mean by "(2018, version unknown)."? Are you saying that the SDK version used with that host_test image is unknown? Have any of the host_test images been modified in any way? Have you had a chance to read through the Configuring Bluetooth LE devices for Direct Test Mode App Note? Can you verify that your setup and procedure matches what is shown in the application report?

    Best Regards,

    Jan

  • Hi Jan,

    Thank you for your reply.

Can you clarify what you mean by "(2018, version unknown)."?

Unknown version means that I only have a generated firmware. I don't have any source code, so I don't know the version number.

Have any of the host_test images been modified in any way?

Sorry, I didn't quite follow this. What does this mean? Photoshop pictures?

This report is the result of my own testing, and you could use LaunchPad to verify it.

    Regards,

    Katherine

  • Hi Katherine,

Have any of the host_test images been modified in any way?

Sorry, I didn't quite follow this. What does this mean? Photoshop pictures?

Jan was rather asking whether the host_test code was modified or if it was used unmodified.

    Best regards,
