CC2640R2F: Setting Advertisement data for use more max size 31 bytes

Hi Vasu Khwanyuen,

Bluetooth 4.x specifications limit the advertising size to 31 bytes.

- Either you can consider using the BLE5Stack and enable DLE so 255 bytes can be sent.

- Or you can consider leveraging the scan response (possible both with Bluetooth 4.x and 5.x)

No, you cannot take this solution. As mentioned, the advertising data length is limited to 31 bytes. The advertising data length cannot be enlarged when using Bluetooth 4.x, even by disabling scan response.

Please use projects for the BLE5Stack. You cannot enable Bluetooth 5 features on the BLEStack projects.

Hi Vasu Khwanyuen,

Only "Extended Advertisement"  allow you o send more than 31 bytes of data. Please make sure to use this type of advertising.

Please also remember that Extended Advertising can either be scannable or connectable (not both at the same time).
