CC2640R2F: Bluetooth Advertisement Stardard

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Dear TI support,

I have a question about Bluetooth stardard of Advertisement data.

If remove 2 item AD Structure 1 (GAP advertise flag) and AD Structure 2 (Service UUID) of advertisement data, It does this implement conflict with the standard?

And Is it incorrect from the Bluetooth specification?

I use software project Simple serial socket Server

  • Hi Vasu,

There is no specification on what is needed tp be shared to advertise, some people can choose to advertise manufacture name or uuid. Sending this data is just to help whatever device that scans the advertisement if it is a preferable connection to make.

    Kind Regards,

    Rogelio
