Hi,
does anyone know when the CC2560 will be released? I looked on the page now, and it seems no chips are available for purchase.
thanks, A

Amar,
The CC2560 is not provided by itself. Rather, you will need to use the PAN13xx from Panasonic which includes the CC2560. This is actually advantageous in almost all situations since the modules they provide are tested and you do not need to worry about RF design.
Please look at some of the links below for more information.

The CC2560 is the chip inside of the module. As you might know, a chip requires other things such as crystals and external components. The PAN13xx includes all of these, so you can basically use the module with almost no work in your design.

Amar,
The PAN13xx do not include the BT5190. PAN13xx provides an HCI interface, which is a low level communications protocol used by the Bluetooth stack.
You need to provide a bluetooth stack that will use the PAN13xx. In this case, we have a bluetooth stack implemented in the BT5190. You can in fact use any microcontroller and any stack since HCI is a common interface.
Therefore, for a complete solution you need the PAN13xx and a BT5190.

By Q3 BlueRadios, will be coming out with a module that includes the MSP430 and the CC2564. The CC2564 is a dual mode chip for bluetooth and bluetooth low energy. So you can have a module with an MSP430 and the bluetooth baseband all packaged up in a small 11.8mm x17.6mm module.
