CC2340R5 onchip OAD

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640R2F, CC2340R5

Hi,

I am not sure whether it is still replied by Clement. 3 files mcuboot, persistent app. and basic ble oad app. are flashed.

It works. Then, I follow the steps as CC2640R2F for oad testing. It seems the code in "simplelink-ble-oad-android-master"

and "simplelink-ble-oad-ios-1.1.0" are not working. Is it the case? Any suggested method?

Thanks.

Regards,

Rin

  • Hi Rin,

Thank you for reaching out. We will look into your query as soon as possible. In the meantime, I have a few questions that may help us resolve this as efficiently as possible. Can you share the SDK version you are using? When you say it works, do you mean that the images flash and behave as expected or that the OAD updates worked?

    Best Regards,

    Jan

  • Hi Jan,

Thanks for your reply. The SDK "simplelink_cc23xx_sdk_6_41_00_09_eng" is used. 3 files "\examples\rtos\LP_EM_CC2340R5\ble5stack\hexfile\mcuboot_LP_EM_CC2340R5_nortos_ticlang.hex", "persistent_app_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang.bin" and "basic_ble_oad_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang.bin" are flashed into launchpad. I use "BLE scanner" in Android app. I can find "Simple Peripheral" in scanner. Then, I connect it and enter hex"01" in "OAD Reset" service just like CC2640R2F onchip oad procedure. The launchpad resets and pushes to "OAD Persistent App". I use the code "simplelink-ble-oad-android-master" in Android. It seems the oad process not started.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Rin

  • Hi Rin,

The OAD procedure applicable to CC26xx is not directly usable for CC23xx. We are working to publish code for OAD with phones, however this code is not yet available.

In the mean time, I would recommend to test your system using BTool.

    I hope this will help,

    Best regards,
