Relating to this thread, it is mentioned that CC2651R3 supports the audio streaming and we can evaluate this by migrating the SimpleLink audio pluging available.

- does it support the A2DP or HFP profiles?which I belive is used by most of the bt headsets currently available?

- Does the SDK provided will support the codecs?

- Any reference/ guide lines to use this controller for a music player application

Hi,

A2DP and HFP are Bluetooth clasic profiles that cannot be supported on a Bluetooth LE device.

Opus, mSBC and ADPCM codecs are supported. Other codecs, such as AAC can be supported but are not provided by TI.

You can refer to the Audio Plugin you have mentioned and the https://www.ti.com/tool/CC3200AUDBOOST

Thank you for the quick response. I understand that CC2651 may not be a choice for the intend application.

Could you please suggest what would be the ideal choice to design a BT based media player which can support the classic profiles, which can support existing BT headsets available in the market as well?
