CC2650MODA: CC2650MODA which Bluetooth Version does it supports ?

Hi,

I am planning to use CC2650MODA for my design. My requirement needs BLE v5.0 or above. When I see CC2650MODA datasheet it shows BLE v5.1 and when checking on the TI website it shows v4.2.

So, kindly let me know which Bluetooth Version does it supports? If not supporting v5.0 or above then please suggest me alternatives with same features.

Hi Sandeep,

CC2650MODA only supports Bluetooth LE 4.2 and you should consider using the newer SIMPLELINK-LOWPOWER-F2-SDK products which currently support Bluetooth LE 5.2. There are system-in-package devices such as the CC2652RSIP, LaunchPads for product evaluation, and certified 3P-WIRELESS-MODULES available.

The CC2652R series does not come with integrated antenna, could you please suggest me some Bluetooth v5.0 or above module with an integrated antenna?
