CC1352R: Some issues about low power consumption.

Part Number: CC1352R

Hi team,

Here's the request from the customer:

Marking on the back of CC1352R: Rev:0.4.0     FW:     SDK1,60RC1     1752

I have two Launchpads for testing Bluetooth. One of them (assuming A Demo board) found a problem with low power consumption during debugging (during broadcasting, the power consumption is not about 1uA, but about 8uA). Then burn the gpiointerrupt example, and the test is also about 10uA@3.3V. The jumper has been removed.

The other one (assuming B Demo board) tests gpiointerrupt, which can reach about 1uA. It is also normal to test bluetooth.

Then I took a new CC1352R and replaced the A Demo's CC1352R. Remove the TVS array CR8, about 500nA is reduced, the average current is ~9.45uA, the power consumption is still not normal.

Below is the problem:

  1. What is the problem of A Demo causing the abnormal power consumption? the program is the same, and the main chip has also been changed.
  2. The B Demo test is normal, but after measuring the DIO_20 (Flash_CS) pin with a multimeter, the power consumption will also increase to 9uA. There is no abnormality after removing Flash, is this normal?
  3. How does CC1352R actively disconnect? At present, the switch broadcast has been tested OK.

Can you please check this case?

Thanks & Regards,

Nick
