CC2652R: How to used senssor controller UART

Part Number: CC2652R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SENSOR-CONTROLLER-STUDIO

Hi Team,

Please help us how to use the sensor controller UART.  We need 3rd UART in CC2652 So, TI suggested us to used the sensor controller UART.

We download the "sensor controller studio" from the following TI provided link www.ti.com/.../SENSOR-CONTROLLER-STUDIO for linux platform.

We tried to run the bin file "sensor_controller_studio_cli". We don't know how to use. We need to used this for 3rd UART in CC2652

Also We read the guide from following path "sensor_controller_studio_cli_2_9_0_208/sensor_controller_studio/fw_templates/scif_template_how_to_use.html"  In this guide It is guided to add the Scif generated driver in CCS .But

1) how to generate the driver for 3rd UART in CC2652  ?

2) How to add the pinmux for this UART ?

3) Any application examples are available ?

  • Hi mohan,

There is a section covering the Command Line Interface CLI from the SCS Help Documentation.  It would be much more beneficial if you could access a Windows machine to utilize the SCS GUI to further understand SCS usage.  There is a default UART Emulator example available from C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Sensor Controller Studio\examples which outputs files to Documents\Texas Instruments\Sensor Controller Studio\examples\uart_emulator_launchpad\source for my Windows system.  You can also reference the SCS SimpleLink Academy Lab for further guidance.

    Regards,
    Ryan
