CC2640R2F: Can't connect to it using the SmartRF Flash

I designed a board based on the LauchXL-CC2640R2 Rev 1.0 and used the CC2640R2FYFVR as CPU, but I'm not being able to connect to it to program the firmware using the SmartRF Flash Programmer I connected to the XDS110 TCK and TMS pins on the Lauch board to the TCK and TMS pins on the prototype board, along with the 3V3 power, but the device is not detected...

Can you help me undestand what may be wrong?

Hi Ruben

Do you use a launchpad to program your custom board? The relevant connections are JTAG_TMS, JTAG_TCK, nRESET, GND, 3V.

Yes, I use the LauchXL-CC2640R2 Rev 1.0 and connected the prototype to the power pins (3V3 and GND) and pins TCK and TMS on the XDS110 side of the board. I also connected to the RST pin along with the other four, but it is still not detected on the Flash Programmer.

Hi Ruben,

You only need these connections for your custom board to be detected by the SmartRF Flash Programmer 2.

JTAG_TMS, JTAG_TCK, nRESET, GND, 3V.

If it is not detected maybe there are connectivity issues. It is also possible that your custom board has problems. I suggest your custom board design be reviewed by a TI Engineer. Wait for TI Engineer to reply.
