CC2340R5: Reset pin to VDD? Xtal recommendation and 32kHz RC osc calibration against 48MHz osc?

Hi team,

Asking on behalf of my customer. I tried to find answers myself, but don't have the bandwidth to dig into all documentation.

1. Can reset pin be tied directly to VDD or is a cap to ground and a pull up resistor required? Customer is migrating from CC264x where reset tied to VDD worked fine.

2. Do we have a list of tested/recommended 48MHz xtals for CC2340?

3. Using 32kHz RC osc and calibrate it against the 48MHz xtal osc - do we have any instructions/app note how to, and is there a code example?

For 3, we don't have specific app note for CC2340 yet, but you can use the following https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swra499 and guidelines in the stack.

Hi,

For 1, it is not required to to have pullup with the capacitor, but if needed the device will not be able to reset from debugger since it is always high.

We recommend that the pullup and capacitor is added to the design.
