CC2640: Host application reference for external Processor for cc2640

Hi Team,

We have host test running in CC2640 and we would like to control all BLE events like central and peripheral role of CC2640 using external Processor.

Can we refer to host test project itself to develop code on external Processor? Which include sending HCI commands, handling callback functions, using NPI to communicate with cc2640?

Or Is there any other reference/stack available which can be considered for host application at external Processor?
