CC2652P7: low level PHY layer access to transmit and receive data

Part Number: CC2652P7

Hi,

I have a custom board designed with CC2652P7 chips.

One of the chip's(master) is connected to multiple chips(slaves) via SPI interface.

I need access to the PHY layer(Bluetooth radio) so that I can build a custom MAC layer on top of it to manage radio transmission/reception.

(1) How should I get started with it?

(2) How about using TI's BT stack and by-pass the standard MAC layer to use my custom MAC layer ?

Thanks

Karthik

  • Hi Karthik,

I recommend you evaluate the rfDiagnostics, among other Prop RF examples, for assistance with accessing the BLE PHY using AT commands.  UART is used and the BLE PHY is not included by default, so you will need to modify the example accordingly for SPI usage and BLE functionality.  However it should be a good starting point for what you are attempting to achieve.
