Hello,

1) I am facing issue related to the data length of adv data, kindly let me know, can i change data length if yes then how can i change it.

2) how should i below info so iOS mobile can able to connect CC26x2

Hi,

The legacy advertising data length is limited to 31 bytes per the BLE5 Specification. However, more bytes may be added to the scan response payload. Another option may be to use Extended Advertising as this has a much larger advertising data length limit.

To add a long manufacturer data, make sure to enable the manufacturerData field in sysconfig and add your desired data. To fit everything in a legacy advertisement, you may need to remove fields that are not necessary to your application or use extended advertisements instead.

How can i see the gap parameter in iOS mobile? I added manufacturer Data like "kCBAdvDataManufacturerData" in Adv data but not able to see in iOS whereas in other mobile i am able to see so kindly help me for this.

Hi,

Thank you for clarifying. If you would like to see all of the advertising data on your smart phone, then you will need to use a BLE scanning application that displays advertising data. You should be able to see the specified data in the manufacturer specific data section of the advertising payload.

Yes, I am using nRF Connect, BLE Scanner and Light Blue applications for advertisement but i can see advertisement data in all Android phones but not in iOS mobile. can You please help me for this

Hi,

Understood. Could you send a screenshot of your device in the device results list within Light Blue? I do not have an iOS device with me, but it is my understanding that it should be possible to view the advertising data in light blue on IOS.

You can see above image(DevStack); left side is iOS mobile in which I am not able to see Adv parameters where in right side (One Plus(android)) able to see parameters.

Hi,

Thank for the image. Is this behavior being seen with multiple iOS devices? Could you try adding the data to the scan response data as well to see if that allows it to show up on iOS?
