Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.0 on the MSP430?

Hi,

We are looking for Bluetooth module that can use both the 4.0 low energy stack and the 3.0 and below. We are looking at the PAN1327 but we are unsure if the MSP430BT5190 would be able to run multiple stacks(decide which stack to run and power on time) - or even oif this is poossible? Do you have any info on this and of so can you point me in the right direction?

Calum,

The PAN1327 does not support BLE, and BLE has not been announced for TI's Dual Mode chips.

TI does not currently have a platform offering for BT + BLE. We have partners with solutions using our technology.

Stonestreet One is offering with Blueradios module (BT + BLE integrated with MSP430 MCU) a solution to customers - you can contact them at sales@stonestreetone.com for more details.

Mindtree also has been working on software dual mode solution - you can contact them at bluetooth@mindtree.com
