LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Bond with mobiles

Just to make sure I understand correctly. The cc26x2 is able to pair and bond to 8 phones first and when you try to bond a 9th one, it is also bonding right?

Can you check if you actually have 9 bonds? Also please double check if you have the "LRU Bond Replacement" parameter set (this is also in SysConfig within Bond Manager).

If you have a Bluetooth sniffer, please consider sharing the logs to see what is happening over the air.

Yes, it is allowing 9th one for the bonding. Kindly check below screenshot for the LRU Bond.

Thanks for confirming the sysconfig settings for the LRU bond. Are you utilizing a Bluetooth sniffer so we can take a look at the logs to better assist you?

We are using the Bluetooth sniffer tool 7. But can you please tell me how we can set bond. Because In our project we need modification from ccs.

Could you share the logs you are getting when running the project so we can see what is occurring when the bonds are being made? I want to make sure the bonds are being made and showing up correctly when you attempt to bond a 9th device. It is difficult to troubleshoot looking at just the sysconfig settings.

To limit the number of bonds, you should set the Maximum Number of Supported Bonds to 8 in Sysconfig and ensure you have the LRU Bond Replacement box unchecked. I am not able to tell from the log file you provided that there are 8 successful bonds being created which is why it appears you are able to add another bond after 8 "successful" bonds are made. Could you share any additional changes you have made to the project which may have an affect on the bonding process?

As I showed in earlier message, i have unchecked LRU and select the bond 8. which setting do you want kindly let me know.

I was curious as to any other changes you had made to either the project code or Sysconfig. However, one method you could try to implement is to count the number of bonds saved and stop performing bonding operations when the max value is reached. This could likely be added within the 'gapbondmgr.c' file within the case statement " case GAP_AUTHENTICATION_COMPLETE_EVENT".

Here I am attaching screenshot kindly check. 

The main point i observed is, it might be confused about connection and bond. because if we mention maximum connection count example we mentioned maximum connection count is 8, it this movement it allow 8 bonding, but if we allow maximum connection 1 and bond 8 then it allow bond only 1, in this case if we see that pairing popup msg not bonding then it will allow more than 8.

For bond check below screenshot (Bond means it will add device in Bluetooth list) (It allow only 1 mobile where maximum number of bond 8 and Maximum connection 1)

Pairing means it shows the pairing popup at the time of connection from application and add device in Bluetooth list (It allow more than 8 mobile where maximum number of bond 8 and Maximum connection 1)
