I would like to check DUT flash, And I used DSLite.exe in command line, command like below:
DSLite.exe noConnectflash -c D:\MAIN\NF1020_Series\ProductionTest\SVN\NF1020PktsTestForm\bin\Release\uniFlash\user_files\configs\cc2340r5.ccxml -l D:\MAIN\NF1020_Series\ProductionTest\SVN\NF1020PktsTestForm\bin\Release\uniFlash\user_files\settings\generated.ufsettings -a BlankCheck
Response like below:
info: Cortex_M0P: Flash loader: CC23xx_FLASH_LIBRARY_VERSION 3.17.10.24
Failed: Error performing blank check - Flash size is unknown.

Additional information:

I use the GUI to execute "Perform Blank Check", I will see the same situation.

But if I read device information first, the process will be correct.

Hi,

To confirm, are you able to read the flash properly through the GUI? I would like to ensure that the internal functionality of UniFlash of reading the flash is working as expected. Could you also specify if this is happening in a LaunchPad or in your custom board?

Hi Jan,

Yes, I can read device information successful through the GUI, the function is worked on GUI.

And process is running in our custom board.

Hi Jimmy,

Understood. I am thinking we may be missing an argument in the BlankCheck command. I think we should reference the -help output to ensure we are setting up the command properly and providing the right parameters

Hi Jimmy,

This command should work in CLI today. We should be able to call the same command that the GUI is calling through the command line. I think we may be calling it the wrong way. I am thinking that there is a flash size parameter that we must pass along with the command.

I check the help list on CLI, I don't see any parameter about flash size.

Can you provide me command example?

I am trying to set up the command on my side, but I am getting the same error in the GUI. Could you provide some instructions for how you are setting up the Uniflash GUI to run the blank test check?

Understood. I will try this. I am thinking this may be related to why the CLI is displaying this error. Maybe we need to run the "Read Device Info" command first, take the data, and store it for the blank check command.

Hi Jimmy,

I apologize for the delay here, but I was able to find the right sequence of commands to perform the BlankCheck test. We have to read the device info before performing this check as you mentioned and this may be done as follows:

.\dslite.bat -c .\CC2340R5.ccxml -l .\generated.ufsettings -a ReadDeviceInfo -a BlankCheck
